The XXII edition of Euroanalysis – European conference on analytical chemistry took place in Barcelona, bringing together researchers from across Europe to share advances in analytical chemistry. Our DSCM was actively involved, with both talks and a poster presentation.
Congratulations to our PhD candidate Andrea Volpe for his work entitled “Evaluation of physicochemical properties and metal electrodeposition from deep eutectic mixtures based on choline chloride and cobalt chloride hexahydrate” published on the Journal of Molecular Liquids.
PhD student Marta Filomena received "Best Poster Presentation Award" at WEW-ICS25 in Marina di Ravenna, for her contribution entitled "Eutectic solvents and microwave heating for a sustainable lignin extraction and fractionation from biomass". The contribution shows for the first time fractional precipitation of lignin extracted with eutectic solvents (ES).
Congratulations to our PhD student Marco Bazi for the recent scientific publication entitled “Heteronuclear Eu2Pt2 luminescent arrays: composition–thermometric properties correlations”. Lanthanide dinuclear complex [Ln2(tta)6(pyrzMO)2] (Ln: Eu, Gd) can behave as ligands for the synthesis of molecular heterometallic complexes.
Congratulations to our PhD student Amanda Arcidiacono for her talk at WATOC 2025 in Oslo, the international conference of World Association of Theoretical and Computational chemists. The title of the presented talk was "Understanding excited states of carotenoids in environments with Machine Learning".
Congratulations to our PhD student Elena Betti for “The Journal of Computational Chemistry best poster award” received at WATOC 2025 in Oslo, for her contribution entitled “First-principles picture of energy transfer in plant Photosystem II: excitation flows and their regulation”.
