Joint PhDs |
The joint supervision of the Ph.D. thesis is a specific form of internationalization only for those Ph.D. students that confer a double or joint title legally recognised in both countries of the partner universities. The joint supervision path allows Ph.D. students to experience the reality of two different university and scientific systems, to expand and increase their linguistic and intercultural skills as well as to encourage the mobility of doctoral students.
The doctoral thesis will be developed under the joint supervision of two dissertation directors (supervisors), one from the University of Pisa and the other from the foreign University, respectively.
The discussion of the thesis is only one and thus, is carried out only in one location. More details are available here
