Dr. Robert Pal, from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Durham (UK), will give a short course on Optical Microscopy in the days May 2nd-6th, 2022, for our PhD students. The course synopsis may be found at https://dscm.dcci.unipi.it/courses-seminars/courses.html Dr. Pal participated to Chemistry for the Future 2021 as invited speaker and his lecture on “Light-driven molecular nanomachines as targeted photodynamic therapy agents” was selected as the best invited lecture by PhD students. Very recently, Dr. Pal co-authored a paper on Nature Communications on Circularly polarised luminescence laser scanning confocal microscopy to study live cell chiral molecular interactions, a break-through innovation in cell imaging.
