inorg25Last week, the 50th Conference of the Divisione di Chimica Inorganica (INORG2025) took place in Naples, where four of our PhD students - Marco Bazi, Alessia Cinci, Claudia Ghelarducci, and Chiara Zappelli - presented their research contributions. Congratulations to Chiara and Marco for their oral presentations.

Chiara delivered a contribution on a class of tungsten-citrate complexes with potential applications in diagnostics. While Marco presented “A temperature-responsive luminescent heterometallic [EuPt₃]₂ cage system”, describing the formation of a new family of luminescent Eu–Pt heterometallic cages and highlighting the crucial role of weak interactions in the design of supramolecular heterometallic complexes. Congratulations also to Claudia and Alessia for their poster contributions. Claudia presented her work on the synthesis, characterization, and bioactivity evaluation of novel peptide–Pt(II) complex conjugates, developed as potential candidates for next-generation anticancer therapies. While Alessia showcased new findings on mimetic complexes of the [FeFe]-Hydrogenase as potential electrocatalysts for molecular hydrogen production, developed using Fe2Cp2 as a scaffold.
