PhD student Marta Filomena received "Best Poster Presentation Award" at WEW-ICS25 in Marina di Ravenna, for her contribution entitled "Eutectic solvents and microwave heating for a sustainable lignin extraction and fractionation from biomass". The contribution shows for the first time fractional precipitation of lignin extracted with eutectic solvents (ES).
The procedure can be used to narrow the lignin polydispersity and increase its suitability for numerous applications.
